DumpsterCo is committed to helping every home, business and institution looking for dumpster rentals or junk removal services to reduce the costs of servicing their waste management needs. We do this by putting environmentally sustainable and accountable waste processing methods and services at the forefront of our activities.
We believe that everyone has the right to live in a naturally clean, healthy, and sustainable environment, free from the damages of irresponsible waste treatment and our services are fully driven by this ethos.
We aim to get rid of waste in the truest sense because nothing is ever wasted, especially when creativity is present and effected.
Necessity is the mother of invention. With rising populations generating increasing amounts of waste it’s clear to us that there is a real need (and a lot of room) for greater resourcefulness of the raw materials we all use each day.
To affect this change, we believe the cure is also in the cause – education.
Although enlightenment kick-started the economic systems that provided the standards of living many enjoy today, it also brought with it some serious side effects in the waste department, which for the most part has been neglected until fairly recently.
Growth in industry meant greater manufacturing and production outputs, resulting in much more waste being produced and sent to landfills or incinerators.
Unfortunately, not much consideration was given to the environmental impact of industry developments during this period of economic change, which cultivated a seemingly deep-seated culture of wastefulness.
That’s why we believe the current philosophy of waste management is antiquated. The intellectual and technological capabilities available to us today, and the speed in which our skills are advancing call for new ways of thinking about the waste problem.
Right now, the strategies being deployed across many municipalities demonstrate that we are only at the beginning of the subsequent phase of the waste management paradigm – waste prevention.
We believe the natural progression from this paradigm and the ultimate goal is the idea of zero waste, at which point the definition of the word “waste” in itself would be obsolete.
Many landfills are reaching their capacity and have been shut down as a result of this as well as for contaminating the groundwater beneath them, which just so happens to be our drinking water.
Cities are running out of landfills. Yet more and more trash is being sent to these facilities. Although waste incineration produces electricity, it does so at the cost of toxins being released into our air. Ash can also result from the burning of waste materials, and just ends up being disposed of in hazardous-waste landfills, leaving us right back where we started.
The truth of the matter is, the consequences of the current incumbent systems can cause severe environmental, economic, and public health problems.
This is not sustainable.
It’s just not worth the risk.
There is a better way.
We believe the only way we can truly shift attitudes from wastefulness to resourcefulness is first through education and secondly by celebrating the companies and individuals that are truly making a difference in sustaining our world.
This is why we recognize and promote green dumpster services, homes and other businesses that embody values of environmental sustainability by putting them in the spotlight.
Ultimately, the less waste is perceived as waste, the richer we all will be.
